Process Data Analyses
Today, continuous interaction of process control systems and condition monitoring systems is mandatory for centralized machine diagnosis and efficient data management. PROGNOST®-NT fulfills this requirement by the use of standard interfaces and bi-directional communication of both systems.
Monitoring and control (trip) of piston compressors by two separate systems (DCS and PROGNOST®-NT) requires a continuous data exchange to ensure smooth machinery operation.
The Process Data Integration module of PROGNOST®-NT establishes a direct communication between the DCS and the PROGNOST®-NT system. For example, if operating conditions of the compressor are changed by the DCS, e.g. speed or stage pressures etc., these changes will be synchronized with PROGNOST®-NT to avoid threshold violations.
This information exchange is realized with standard interfaces like MODBUS RTU, OPC or Profibus.
This plot shows a process variable (load step lift regulation) as a red line and the resulting vibration RMS values in a 3D waterfall plot.
This module also offers the possibility of displaying DCS data as graphic trends and continuously comparing these trends with warning threshold values.
Your advantages
- Use of standard interfaces for DCS / PROGNOST®-NT data exchange (i.e. OPC, Modbus)
- Display and monitoring of defined DCS values as trends with warning thresholds
- Transition of PROGNOST®-NT-alarms
into the DCS
- Definition of operating conditions with DCS parameters
