Performance Optimization of compressor

A loss in efficiency is often undetected with ordinary monitoring methods. PROGNOST®-NT continuously checks the efficiency of your reciprocating machines and provides the user with comprehensive analysis for restoring efficiency and increasing the productivity.

The efficiency of a reciprocating machine is defined by the energy consumption (drive) and the usable discharge pressure. The dynamic pressure is usually displayed in a pressure (p)/volume (V) diagram. In case the dynamic pressure changes during operation of the machine, specialized p-V analysis can detect which components have caused the reduction of efficiency. The analysis will result in the optimization of the efficiency of the monitored machine e.g. by exchange of specific components.

Apart from the p-V diagram analysis, additional key values are calculated, monitored, displayed and recorded in the log book. This includes analysis from the compression cycle, the piston rod load and load reversal. The analysis of this data provides operators and maintenance personnel with all the information that is required for the optimum operation of reciprocating machines.
