Compressor Data Acquisition and Analysis

The PROGNOST®-NT Base Unit provides information on the current and historic condition of reciprocating machinery by using multiple methods of communication. It offers specialized analysis, reporting and messaging functionality as well as integration into existing process instrumentation environments (DCS).

 This system forms the basis for each PROGNOST®-NT installation to which one or several modules may be added. It acquires, analyzes and saves all data refined from the different PROGNOST®-NT modules. The intelligent diagnosis and the crosscheck of the analysis patterns with the integrated "pattern recognition" database, provides clear text diagnostic messages. This complex neural network process runs behind the scenes –unseen by the user.

Pattern recognition: Damage patterns are validated with the integrated database and a according clear text message is displayed.

In case of damages or failures, an immediate damage message with clear information is required regarding the problem. Should a problem occur, the reporting and messaging functions included in the Base Unit ensures that the diagnostic messages are immediately forwarded by email, pager, fax or phone text message to the right persons or groups. Having the cleartext message on their PC workstations, the maintenance personnel know which actions have to been take to avoid damages or to fix the problem. The concept of cleartext messages enables all personnel that are responsible in the field of rotating equipment to make precise decisions and manage challenging machinery issues fast, targeted and efficient. Additionally, all alarms and messages will be recorded in a logbook. The Base Unit is an integral part of PROGNOST®-NT, recognized internationally as the leading system for Asset Performance Management of reciprocating machines.
