Repeat order from Wesseling

A Refinery in Wesseling, located close to Cologne (Germany) is currently operating five so-called "Einheitsverdichter”, manufactured in the 1930s. One of these recips has four stages in six compression chambers on two throws. Earlier this year, this machine was equipped with the PROGNOST®-NT module "Safety Protection". Shell quickly realized how reliable this technology is. Based on this, the company ordered fully equipped PROGNOST®-NT for two additional 2-throw Einheitsverdichter in hydrogen service. With this installation finalized, the refinery in Wesseling monitors five reciprocating compressors with PROGNOST®-NT.

Refinery in Cartagena increased PROGNOST®-NT installations

The refining plant in Cartagena (Spain) has monitored reciprocating compressors with PROGNOST®-NT since 2006. PROGNOST®-NT for Condition Monitoring strategy in Yaroslavl

A refinery, located in Yaroslavl (175mls north-east of Moscow), co-operates with the service provider NTM who is responsible for the concept and realization of condition monitoring strategies for critical machinery. Besides diagnostic services, NTM advises Slaveft regarding equipment for safety protection and condition monitoring for new machinery. NTM was consulted when they order a new Burckhard Compression recip. The original specification was to equip the horizontal, boxer-style compressor with a conventional rack system, but this did not meet system requirements. NTM recommended this machine be monitored with specialized technology that is scalable for future acquired and already existing machines. After visiting PROGNOST users at a German refinery, the team received confirmation from their industry peers that PROGNOST-NT is the right choice. The compressor will be delivered this summer and start-up of the receip is scheduled for fourth quarter 2009.
